Also, people who are interested in politics. And people who are open-minded, creative and love to cook! Interests Lately I've been listening to: alternative rock, mixed 70's, guitar 80's I'm currently reading: about superinsulated houses The last movie I watched was: I don't remember. My must-see show is: ...Are there any? Enlighten me. I'd love to visit: France, Australia and New Zealand I'm curious about: why other people think what they think Topping my Wish List is: a MUCH better future for our children. Favorite Music, Artists, Genres: I like most music and art, especially modern art. I like Matisse and Picasso...there's something about the way they used form and color that is fantastic. I love how just one of their prints can be hung on a wall and the entire room can be decorated around it. I also like old lithographs and sepia photographs. Favorite Books, Writers, Genres: Although I used to, I don't have much time for novels or great works of poetry right now! The kids keep me busy! Books about psychology and parenting are great. I also read about politics and "How To" books (cooking, gardening, decorating). Favorite Movies, Actors, Genres: I'm not a big movie fan and I'm down on the "Hollywood culture" these days. It's fake and bad for children. Their "let's dump on 'Middle America' joke" is old. What is "Middle America" anyway? The 90% of us who spend our hard-earned dime on movie tickets? Favorite TV Shows, Actors: I don't have a favorite TV show or actor. When I watch TV, I like biographies, documentaries and cooking shows. I watch the news, too (although some networks are more objective than others). Favorite Places: The Maine seacoast; Any city is fun for a weekend; A countryside drive is always beautiful and fun, too. Scotland and England were great! I'd like to go to Ireland someday. Interests and Activities: I'm interested in being a good parent. I'd also love to live off the grid - net zero energy use and zero dependence. Wish List: ... a 10% pay raise for all, except Congress, this Holiday Season! Affiliations Political Affiliation: I'm for freedom 1st! You've got to dig deep to find the truth these days. I'm looking for and supporting "common sense", not the status quo ... Religious Affiliation: Protestant - To me, religion is a personal code to follow - a knowing of the right and wrong ways to treat other people, not so much a fear about what will happen after life and, certainly, never to tell others how to live their own lives. Employers: Social worker, now I'm "Mom"... excellent training program!
